england had just won the world cup and the atmosphere had been so feverish that the wt study on the day of the final had actually been brought forward so as to avoid a clash of interests.. .

i have been sick and tired of not doing anything about the constant lies i get from the wt organization on various issues such as the u.n. no one from my parents to brooklyn can give me a straight answer on anything.

so, yesterday, i decided to take a different approach.

i live near a kh that actually has a apartment built on to the side of it for the co who serves all of the kh's in my area including my old hall that is over an hour away from where i currently live.

if witnesses were allowed to come and post here, what do you think would be the outcome?

would they become weaker witnesses because of that?

or maybe, could it even do the opposite and strenghten their faith?

there was a great response to my request for thoughts on the cross or the stake for chapter 1. there is plenty of information there for me to compose into a single fact sheet.. while reading another post where jana posted a letter she had written to her mom, i read something quite extroidinary.

in explaning the changes the wts make about certain policies she wrote this:.

based upon the belief that death acquits a person of sin, do jws believe that all those (jws and non-jws) who die before armageddon arrives will be ressurected?

Got a visit from a "sister" today

ok, so its been five years since i've been a technically, active jw.

an older lady came by to see me today.. she heard about my surgery last week and was in the area so she dropped by to say hello and wish me well.

no jw talk at all till the end of the conversation.

New dub scam

someone tell me if i'm making an ass out of myself and posting something that has already been discussed here and i missed it.....k ?.

anyway.....the dubbers have a new deal goin on at least in my neighborhood.

my wife had briefly mentioned some of it to me a few days ago, but i heard it firsthand working the other day where the dubs were working some apartments.. the dubs go door to door and say they are volunteers for the deaf community and are searching for people who are deaf.
